Very scruffy outside, clean and homely inside. All staff speak excellent English and very helpful. Just opposite the tram stop/train station, so convenient for transport but a bit noisy. However, no sign of the horrendous stag parties that plague the rest of the town.
Top Tip
The famous "Vanaema Juures" has a sign of a fried egg in frying pan, and was wonderfully atmospheric with excellent and not expensive food.
"Kuldse Notsu Korts" had huge portions of pork based food, and was very friendly. Try the warm honey beer.
The Rocca Al Mare open air museum is well worth the 15 min bus ride (21 or 21b)to see Estonian Country life.

Great location, right next to the old town (although the area next to the railway station looks a little seedy, but we had no problems)
Top Tip
Right on tramlines, next to railway station & just across from old town. Take tram 2 to Kadriorg, the big city park.
You can only put beers/food on your room tab if you buy it from the reception, if you buy from the bar you have to pay there)

Comment
Hotel was in convenient location, just outside old town walls. Everything was spotlessly clear.
Hotel advertised a 'hot buffet' breakfast - a bit misleading as only 2 hot items were offered each day, such as porridge, pasta (?!) potato cakes, rice etc

Comment
I rate the location as good, it has the great advantage of being very much within walking distance from the old town center (which is very worthwile) and still being accessible by car, which some of the old town is not.
